Why is AspenRidge in Lakewood, CO the Right Choice?

AspenRidge Lakewood in Lakewood, CO offers several types of programs that are individualized to meet the personal needs of each person. The types of programs that are available accommodate all levels of addiction. Some patients have a short history of drug and alcohol abuse. In contrast, others may binge on drugs or alcohol but have only recently begun to experience negative consequences. AspenRidge is also for individuals who have struggled with addiction and relapse for many years or most of their lives. The following programs are recommended beginning with the most intensive program.

Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP)

AspenRidge Lakewood PHP is the highest level of care. It is designed to stabilize and establish a firm foundation of recovery and provides around the clock monitoring. Patients live at a residence overseen by the program professionals. Each induvial receives a personalized treatment plan that is tailored to meet their needs. Some people will require more one-on-one counseling while others benefit from evidence-based therapy forms such as cognitive-behavioral therapy. Once a patient is enrolled in the PHP program and completes it successfully, they are encouraged to transition to a lower level of care.

The PHP program is a 30-day treatment program, and the patients reside at one of AspenRidge recovery residences. Patients engage in 25-30 hours of highly structured group therapy per week and weekly individual sessions focused on mental health and trauma-based therapies. Professional psychiatry services, medication-assisted treatments, and MATS, and science-based treatment techniques include brain spotting and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).

Day Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)

The Day Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is the next level of care and is often combined with sober living and can allow patients to work part-time and or attend school. The program provides intensive therapy in small group settings with trained facilitators. Each patient is also regularly seen by the clinical staff, including specialists, substance abuse counselors, and therapists. Ideally, their patients attend Day IOP and reside at the sober living homes overseen and managed by AspenRidge directly. The IOP program at AspenRidge Recovery Lakewood is approximately 60-days of treatment.

Outpatient Program

The outpatient program at AspenRidge Lakewood in Colorado lets patients continue to live and work at their home or community. At the same time, they receive structured professional substance abuse treatment. The outpatient program is most successful when admission occurs after completing the PHP program and or the IOP programs. Others who are strong candidates for this level of care include persons who had a minor relapse after getting sober or individuals who must work full-time while they get help for their addiction.

The Outpatient Program provides addiction treatment and individuals participate in group therapy 1-2 times a week and see their counselor and therapist once a week. Every patient is assigned a team of treatment specialists who continually monitor their progress and make changes in their treatment plan when more support is necessary or when a patient makes progress. Each step of the individual’s recovery is a delicate process, and no patient is expected to change quickly. AspenRidge Lakewood Colorado is dedicated to long term support and provides an alumni program to help all patients receive continued help through their full recovery.
